    That’s a fascinating read. Obviously, Russell’s was rooted as deeply in the Plymouth Brethren as in the 2nd Adventists. I had never before realized that the Witness position on these matters goes hand in hand with a pre-tribulation rapture, but indeed it does. Of course, the pre-tribulation rapture is hard to defend in the light of Matthew 24:31.
