Circuit Assembly Part - Oneness of Mind - Addendum

– posted by meleti
This week's bible reading caused me to think of a recent post.  From the outline for this circuit assembly part on maintaining "oneness of mind", we had this line of reasoning:
“Meditate on the fact that all the truths that we have learned and that have united God’s people have come from his organization.”
Contrast this with Jesus' words to Peter when he had asked him, "...who do you say I am?"

(Matthew 16:16, 17) . . .In answer Simon Peter said: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 In response Jesus said to him: “Happy you are, Simon son of Jo?nah, because flesh and blood did not reveal [it] to you, but my Father who is in the heavens did.

It wasn't Jesus who revealed this to him, but God.  Jesus did not bear witness to his role, but he acknowledged that Peter had come to this understanding because it had been revealed to him by God.
Like Peter, the truths we have learned have been revealed to us by God.  All glory goes to him.  There is no cause for a good-for-nothing slave to boast about his role in the process, not if Jesus himself took no glory for the teachings he had revealed to Peter.
