It is somewhat discouraging to find that week after week there are issues in the Watchtower study article that need to be addressed for the purpose of upholding the truth. It is therefore a welcome relief when an article such as this one pops up. While not an in-depth analysis of Scripture, it has the virtue of being both positive and non-controversial. It is true that holding to and promoting false teachings along with the true will keep us from achieving our full potential, but that’s a discussion for another week. This one is about how to encourage our brothers to reach out and grow. So enjoy the study and we’ll be back next week.

Generally nice, but this statement jumped out at me: “Rico thought that he would have to wait until he was of legal age to serve Jehovah fully.”
That the congregation rules prevent someone from ‘serving God fully’ simply for being, against their will, in an unbaptized state, is a startling admission. Thankfully, Rico was delivered from such a fate by scripturally unprecedented (near) infant baptism. How faith-strengthening.
So much for focusing on the positive…

Good one! Ha Ha
Jannai, very eloquently put. Amen
I know some brothers and sisters who choose to turn a blind eye to false teachings and worse – they have their reasons for doing that and that’s up to them. But for many of us we have chosen a different path and we want to be aware of these false teachings in order to be set free from what we believe to be wrong – we want to worship our Heavenly Father in spirit and truth with others, and being here has helped me to do that, and I am so grateful, and I thank you.
True, nothing really controversial. A typical JW flavoured article
